PMS Gilgit Baltistan (GB)
The Combined Competitive Examination for recruitment of the executive post of BPS 17 in Gilgit Baltistan is conducted by the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) to select the competent and capable candidates for the positions of BPS-16 & 17 officers.

Eligibility Criteria
- Both male, female including special persons can apply.
- Candidate must have a graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum of 2nd Class or C Grade from a recognized educational institution/university.
- The age limit for a PMS candidate is 20 to 33 years.
- 1 year of upper age relaxation for the candidates from the scheduled caste.
- 5 years upper age relaxation for the Government employees serving for at least 2 years
Domicile
The candidates must have domicile and permanent residency or GB.
Places of exam
Islamabad, Gilgit, Skardu and Karachi.
Exam Structure
There are following parts of the PMS Exam with 1200 marks in total:
- Written Examination – 900 marks
- Viva voce/Interview – 300 marks
Written Exam (Compulsory + optional subjects)
PMS Syllabus for written exam consists of 4 Compulsory Subjects (600 marks) and Optional Subjects to be chosen from 7 groups (300 marks).

- English General and Essay - 150 Marks
- Urdu General and Essay - 150 Marks
- Current Affairs and Pakistan Affairs - 150 Marks
- Islamiat OR Comparative study of Major Religions (for Non-Muslims) - 150 Marks
Passing Requirements
A candidate has to secure at least 33% marks in each paper and the aggregate of marks should be 50% or above of the total marks of the written examination.
